  • Supervising the leadership of IT strategic and operational planningto achieve the organizations strategicobjectives.

  • Providingadvice to the direct manager and senior management regardinginformation technology projects in the institution and relatedgovernment initiatives.
  • Supervising the preparation of feasibility studies for implementingprojects programs and technical applications in theinstitution.
  • Supervisingthe planning and implementation of technology information securityand data analysis projects and presenting progress and completionreports to the director of the department and the relevantorganizational units.
  • Periodically following up on the progress of technical projectsimplemented externally and internally and issuing progress andcompletion reports and presenting them to the director of thedepartment the divisions and departments concerned with theprojects and thestakeholders.
  • Supervisingthe development of innovative strategies to facilitate userfriendlyways to access the services of the organizationsdepartments.
  • Leading thedevelopment and modernization of all information technology systemsused in the organization.
  • Establishing the departments goals and procedures regardinginformation technology to be consistent with the strategic planincluding the centralvalues.
  • Develop andupdate procedures and standards within the Information TechnologyDepartment regarding the use of information technology within theorganization by allemployees.
  • Supervisingthe development of IT risk management plans to ensure businesscontinuity around theclock.
  • Supervising theimplementation of government requirements for smart serviceselectronic security and any requirements related to informationpurification.
  • Supervisingthe development and documentation of policies procedures systemsand processes for IT management in theorganization.
  • Supervisingthe definition of standards and standards for all informationtechnology systems and devices and issuing relevant documents andoffers in coordination with the relevant organizationalunit.
  • Supervising theimplementation and meeting of all compliance requirements withgovernment excellence standards and frameworks for digitaltransformation.
  • Supervising the preparation of studies assessing the organizationssystems and software needs in accordance with international bestpractices.
  • Supervisingthe development and application of information security policiesand procedures related to information technology and cybersecurityand selecting and evaluating protection products to secure theorganizations informationsystems.
  • Supervising theimplementation of procedures for providing technical support forthe organizations information devices systems andnetworks.
  • Supervising themanagement of outsourcing contracts with IT service suppliers incoordination with the relevant authorities and ensuring theirimplementation according to the work scope andtimetable.
  • Supervisingthe development and modernization of the organizations websitedeveloping digital systems and smart services and marketing them toserve the directions of the Emirate of Dubai (zero directcustomers).
  • Supervisingthe preparation of the financial budget for the organizationsannual needs for information technology systems and devices incoordination with the relevantdepartment.
  • Reviewing theimplemented requirements and scope of projects and approvingpayments for requirementscompletion.
  • Supervisingthe preparation of periodic reports statistics and data analysisrelated to informationtechnology.
  • Supervisingthe periodic measurement of performance indicators related toinformation technology.
  • Raising the efficiency of employees nominating them for specializedcourses and workshops and evaluating the performance of thedepartments employees.
  • Communicate with providers and design and implement new uses andvariants in computer systems and softwareofferings.
  • Supervisingthe processes of developing requirements issuing documents forattracting offers and evaluating offers in cooperation with thoseconcerned with the Contracts and ProcurementDepartment.
  • Managing andsupervising the work of final acceptance of the systems holding thenecessary workshops implementing them at the institution level andapproving them by thoseconcerned.
  • Support andmaintain relevant approved standards systems including riskmanagement and businesscontinuity.
  • Adhere to theinformation security system policies processes and programs andensure that every employee male or female within the organizationalunit understands his or her responsibilities related to informationsecurity.
  • Proposing andimplementing initiatives that would raise the employee happinessindex.
  • Perform any othertasks as directed by the directsupervisor.

Qualifications


Masters/bachelors degree in information technology orequivalent.
