Structured Finance –Analyst / Senior Analyst, Asset-BackedSecurities

FitchRatings is seeking a Credit Analyst to join the Asset-BackedSecurities Group in our Chicago or New Yorkoffices.

Fitch Ratings isadding a highly motivated professional to the Asset BackedSecurities (ABS) team as an Analyst. The position providesopportunities to grow credit understanding across consumer ABSthrough monitoring macro trends and impacts to pool and ABS ratingperformance. The analyst will join a growing team covering consumersectors such as auto loan and lease, credit cards, and unsecuredinstallment loans.

Successful candidatesshould demonstrate the ability to develop credit views, haveexperience analyzing performance trends and have strongcommunication skills (written andverbal).

  • Analyze the critical credit, legaland structural elements of ABS transactionstructures;
  • Contribute to dynamic ratingworkflows by leading analysis and monitoring a portfolio of ABStransactions;
  • Utilize cashflow models to formopinions on future performance;
  • Staying abreastof sector trends and communicate your viewseffectively;
  • Lead and/or support sector trendresearch reports and projects.

What You Need ToHave

  • We arelooking for a professional with a BA/BS degree and a minimum of 1-2years of relevant experience.
  • Knack forcommunicating your views (particularly in writing) and ability toanalyze large data sets and form conclusions arerequired.
  • Fitch is a team-oriented workenvironment, so excellent interpersonal skills are essential, as isa strong work-ethic and a results-orientedmindset.
  • Finance fundamentals and current viewsof economic conditions, combined with a willingness and ability toquickly learn new concepts and techniques.
