Job Purpose: Technical ServicesEngineer will provide fleet technical management continuingairworthiness management and technical support functions forEmirates fleet to ensure compliance to regulatory & safetyrequirements reliability passenger comfort and cost effectiveness.

In this role you will::

  • Provide fleettechnical management continuing airworthiness management andtechnical support functions for assigned section ie AirframeStructures Avionics PowerPlant and CabinInterior.

  • Routinely evaluatemanufacturers/regulatory authoritiess technical documents takingappropriate actions and update internal engineering documentsincluding Engineering Order and Special EngineeringWorkcard.

  • Review inservicedata (e.g Tech log Pilot Reports Defects) and implement actions toimprove fleet engine component and/or system reliability andmaintainability including optimisation of aircraft maintenanceprograms.

  • Deliver technicalassistance and operational support in disruptions scenariosincluding the handling of technical/AOG troubleshooting aircraftchronic and deferred defects and technicaldelays.

  • Carry out EmiratesEngineering design organisational activities such as but notlimited to development of standard operating procedures in houserepairs use of alternate parts deviations from manufacturingdocuments by exercising Design Engineer (DE) privileges of Part 21Design Organisation as appointed by Head of Design(HOD).

  • Provide support andexpertise for acquisition of new Aircraft and end of leaseactivities

  • Act as atechnical liaison with Aircraft Engines and/or ComponentManufacturers and internal stakeholders (e.g flight operationsservice delivery) to address fleet significant faults defectsdesign issues and qualityescapements.

  • Providetechnical clarifications/justification to internal stakeholders insupport of cost optimisation contract negotiation repair andmodificationprocesses.

  • Carry out projectmanagement functions such as but not limited to major modificationsretrofits cabin reconfigurations and aircraft phaseout requirementsincluding preparation of cost benefit studies or budgetrequirements on changes/repairs with recommendations/proposals forapproval bymanagement.

  • Review andanalyse technical data in support of dept KPIs highlighting trendsand making recommendation reports/proposal forimprovement.


Qualifications &Experience: To be considered for the role you must meet the belowrequirements:

  • Degree or Honours(123 or equivalent) :

  • Degreein Aeronautical/Avionics/Mechanical/Electrical Engineering and/orholder of Aircraft Maintenance Engineering Licence for 5years.

  • 10 years ofexperience in EngineeringAeronautical.

  • Should have aminimum of 8 years in Technical Services function of which at least5 year of experience pertaining to Emirates fleet type/aircraftsystems.

Knowledge/skills:

  • RelatedAircraft Engineering experience.

  • Knowledgeof latest technical developments and industry trends on respectivesystems.

  • Abilityto analyse and synthesise technical information for implementationin cost effective ways.

  • Excellentdrafting/report writing skills.

  • Demonstrableexperience in managing complex tasks and decision making in a fastpacedenvironment.
