  • Are you a Managing Director, PlantDirector or multi-site Operations Director who is open to a changein career direction, whilst still serving the manufacturing sector?Our client is a global service provider to the key transportmanufacturing sectors, including Automotive, Aerospace, Rail aswell as Defence. They are looking for a UK Managing Director totake the business to the next level, playing a pivotal role insteering the entity toward it’s goals, ensuringoperational excellence, and maintaining effective stakeholderrelationships. With your exceptional strategic vision andleadership skills, you will be the driving force behind thecompany’s ambitious growth and development plans, andultimately its success. Able to rapidly adapt in a multinationaland fast-paced environment, you will act as a catalyst for changeacross the UK team, tackling daily complex operations, shaping theteam and co-operating with the wider group, whilst acting as a rolemodel for the company values. You will be fully responsible for theP&L in all its aspects: business development, operations,operational excellence, HR, finance. Who we're looking for?To succeed in this role, you will be a highly capable,customer-focused Managing Director, Plant Director, GeneralManager, or multi-site Operations Director with strong financialskills and commercial acumen. You will have managed a P&Lof a significant size, supplying into automotive, aerospace orrail, be it as: a manufacturer; an engineering services or BPOprovider; or a logistics business. You will be entrepreneurial,open-minded, and an agent for change and transformation,experienced in driving continuous improvement. With outstandinginterpersonal and communication skills you will be able to developstrong, long-term relationships with both new and existingcustomers. You will thrive in being autonomous and handle pressurewell, whilst having a collaborative mind-set and being a teamplayer. You will be solutions-focussed: analytical, structured,with good organisational skills, whilst being flexible andinnovative. You will pride yourself in having high levels ofpersonal integrity. It would be advantageous if you have experiencein multinational, possibly matrix, service-orientedenvironments.
