Job Description

Currently, EDF Renewables Middle East is looking for a:

Business Developer (M/F)

The Business Developer is expected to initiate / accelerate the development of the renewable projects that EDF Renewables has decided to focus in the Middle-East region including wind, solar, storage and gH2 or its derivatives

The role requires the candidate to support end-to-end project development (tenders and greenfield) including :
  • support development of partnership agreements,
  • support the process of advisor selection,
  • liaising with Client entities,
  • liaising with Partners teams,
  • supporting technical, financial and commercial optimisation together with relevant leader from Technical and Finance Division,
  • support the team in management of the project risk assessment, in particular the legal part in relation with the legal leader from the Legal Division,
  • support the clarification phase post tender submission;
  • support preparation of the investment dossier and presentation to internal committee
  • support financial closing activities in all areas (negotiation and finalization of all project agreements)
  • support pre- development and development activities for greenfield projects;
  • support preparation of proposals to support ongoing development activities;
  • support the engagement with external stakeholders (JV partners, advisors, EPC and O&M contractors, equipment suppliers (OEMs), consultants, utilities, etc.)

Job Requirements (Qualifications, Skills And Knowledges)

Required Experience and Qualifications:
  • 4-8 years of professional experience, preferably in the regional IPP market
  • Experience in renewable energies required; gH2 experience is a plus
  • Understanding of renewable projects development is mandatory
  • Good knowledge of the local renewable business
  • Strong interpersonal skills will be necessary to engage various stakeholders
  • Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment, with a cross-functional and delocalized teams
  • Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills
  • A Bachelor degree;
  • A Master degree from a top-tier internationally recognized institution
  • Fluent in English is mandatory, French is a plus
