Our client, a leading international technology provider is currently seeking to recruit Area Sales Manager. You will be directly reporting to the Director Head of Sales-Africa / Middle EastScope and Purpose:SALES of Currency Automation Products and Services in French African region in coordination with Director Head of Sales BNPO Africa / Middle East and in compliance with regional sales strategyEstablish and maintain strong and firm relationship to customersFocus on triggering new sales opportunities, by finding appropriate solutions in our product mix, and packaging them in an offer to meet the customers’ requirements.Attend to the customer during the complete business cycle and follow up project milestones in close cooperation with Sales Administration and Project ManagementMonitor competitive activities, identify customer future needs in terms of product portfolio and currency automation solutions; build up a strong link to the Product Marketing / ManagementKey Result Areas / Responsibilities:Achieve assigned individual sales targets, as well as company objectives for the allocated sales areaLiaise and negotiate with very high ranking public and private sector staffClose deals and sign sales and maintenance contracts with direct customersReport and forecast sales activitiesMonitor and report competitor activitiesTravel extensively within sales area to build up and maintain customer relationship Own a CarAnyHave Driving LicenseAny Job Skills
At least 5 years of direct sales experience for technical products in the Africa regionAlready sitting on a Senior Sales Manager positionPreferably dealing already in special purpose machinery manufacturing businessExperience with direct sales , ideally in banking related field or any capital equipment fieldTo be au fait with high level decision makersExcellent communication and presentation skillsCapability to listen, comprehend customer’s need and derive adequate technical and commercial solutionsAdvanced technical or business related degreeMature approach to business and understanding of core principals of key account managementFluency in written and spoken English / French is mandatoryLanguage skills in Portuguese or Spanish are advantageousCandidate must be willing to travel extensively in all over the African region (about 60 to 70%)
