Overview

The Finance Executive is responsible for managing core financial operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and supporting the financial health of the organization. The role covers accounting, taxation, banking, cross-border transactions, reporting, and treasury functions for both Free Zone and Mainland entities. This position requires strong financial acumen, accuracy, and the ability to manage end-to-end finance activities independently.

Responsibilities

Accounting & Compliance

  • Handle full-cycle accounting and auditing activities for Free Zone and Mainland entities.
  • Prepare and maintain Management Information System (MIS) reports.
  • Ensure compliance with UAE VAT, Corporate Tax, and other regulatory requirements.
  • Perform month-end closing, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation.

Banking & Treasury Management

  • Manage day-to-day banking operations, including cash management, fund transfers, and bank reconciliations.
  • Handle international and local banking transactions, including SWIFT payments, wire transfers, and multi-currency fund movements.
  • Manage trade finance instruments such as Letters of Credit (LC), bank guarantees, and related documentation.
  • Maintain strong relationships with domestic and international banks and financial institutions.
  • Monitor foreign currency exposure and assist in forex and treasury management.

Cross-Border & Government Coordination

  • Manage cross-border transactions efficiently and in compliance with applicable regulations.
  • Coordinate with UAE government authorities and regulatory bodies on financial matters.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • 8–10 years of UAE/GCC experience in core finance operations.
  • Strong hands-on proficiency in MS Excel and financial reporting tools.
  • Solid understanding of UAE financial regulations, VAT, Corporate Tax, and banking practices.
  • Experience with trade finance and multi-currency transactions.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Experience dealing with Iraqi banks or financial systems is a plus.
