Sales Executive – Freight Forwarding

Business Development & Sales

  • Identify and develop new customers for air freight, sea freight, road freight, and related logistics services
  • Achieve assigned sales targets (revenue, margin, and volume)
  • Prepare and submit competitive quotations in coordination with operations and pricing teams
  • Actively follow up on leads, inquiries, and opportunities

Customer Management

  • Maintain strong relationships with existing customers to ensure retention and growth
  • Understand customer requirements and propose appropriate logistics solutions
  • Handle customer meetings, presentations, and negotiations professionally

Coordination & Operations Support

  • Coordinate closely with operations, documentation, and finance teams to ensure smooth execution of shipments
  • Ensure accuracy of shipment details, scope of work, and agreed commercial terms
  • Support customers during shipment execution and resolve issues proactively

Compliance & Internal Policies

  • Ensure adherence to company policies, credit terms, and compliance requirements
  • Follow customer onboarding and credit approval procedures strictly
  • Avoid engagement in any sanctioned or restricted country transactions

Reporting & CRM

  • Maintain accurate sales activity records in CRM / internal systems
  • Provide regular updates on pipeline, forecasts, and market intelligence
  • Report customer feedback, market trends, and competitor activities

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • New customer acquisition
  • Revenue and gross margin achievement
  • Customer retention
  • Accuracy of quotations and documentation
  • Compliance with credit and company policies

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree (preferred)
  • 2–5 years of proven sales experience in freight forwarding or logistics in the UAE
  • Strong understanding of:
  • Air & Sea Freight operations
  • Incoterms
  • Basic customs and documentation processes
  • Existing customer contacts in Dubai market is an advantage
