Job Title: Payment Channel Integration & DeFi Strategy Specialist

Job Type: Full-time

Job Overview:

We are looking for a highly skilled Payment Channels Specialist to lead the management and optimization of our third-party payment integrations. The ideal candidate will also be an expert in cryptocurrency operations, DeFi solutions, and strategic financial channel planning. This role will help us optimize efficiency across fiat and crypto payment pathways while supporting scalable fintech innovation.

Key Responsibilities:


• Lead the technical and strategic integration of third-party payment gateways (fiat & crypto).


• Evaluate and negotiate with local and global PSPs (Payment Service Providers).


• Analyze the effectiveness and performance of current payment providers and recommend improvements.


• Collaborate with product teams to align payment capabilities with business goals.


• Implement crypto/DeFi-based payment options to complement traditional gateways.


• Monitor compliance with financial regulations and licensing frameworks across jurisdictions.


• Proactively manage risks associated with cross-border, crypto, and digital payments.


• Build dashboards and reporting tools to track transaction efficiency, failures, and latency.


• Research and propose new payment channel strategies leveraging DeFi (such as stablecoins, liquidity pools, bridges, etc.).

Desired Candidate Profile

Requirements:


• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Engineering, or related field.


• 4+ years of experience in payment systems, PSP integration, or payment channel operations.


• Experience working with a variety of PSPs (Stripe, Checkout, crypto wallets, etc.).


• Strong understanding of DeFi principles and protocols (DEXs, smart contracts, payment bridges).


• Familiarity with crypto payment infrastructure and tools like USDT/USDC settlement, cross-chain transfer solutions, and gas optimization.


• Analytical mindset with ability to assess payment failures, delays, and reconciliation mismatches.


• Knowledge of KYC, AML, and compliance requirements.

Preferred Skills:


• Technical understanding of APIs used in payment gateways.


• Experience with on-chain payment rails or decentralized payment routing.


• Proficient in financial modeling or ROI analysis for channel strategy.


• Prior work in crypto exchanges or fintech platforms is a strong advantage.
