Position: Rental Sales Agent

Job Description:

Responsible for greeting customers, processing rentals and selling optional services, answering and receiving telephone calls, resolving overdue rentals, responding to customer questions and complaints, servicing vehicles for customer rentals and communicating with drivers for customer pick-ups.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Greeting and assisting customers as they arrive at the rental location.
  • Understanding customer needs to recommend the best rental options
  • Answering customer inquiries about rental terms, policies, and pricing.
  • Providing information on cars and services such as insurance, upgrades, and accessories.
  • Processing reservations via phone, email, or in-person, ensuring the availability of requested car
  • Managing booking systems and confirming rental details, including pick-up and drop-off times.
  • Handling changes or cancellations to bookings according to company policy.
  • Completing rental agreements with customers, ensuring that terms, rental duration, and pricing are clearly outlined.
  • Explaining rental policies, including terms of use, insurance options etc.
  • Processing payments for rental services, ensuring correct billing and handling of any deposits or additional charges.
  • Addressing and resolving customer complaints or issues related to the rental, such as vehicle malfunctions, billing discrepancies, or delivery delays.
  • Providing solutions to any problems that arise during the rental period
  • Collaborating with other team members and departments (e.g., fleet management, customer support, accounts department) to ensure a smooth operation and high customer satisfaction.

Qualifications:

Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Some college coursework in business, sales, or customer service preferred.

Experience:

  • Experience in a rental industry.
  • Ability to work as part of a team. The ability to maximize performance.
