HSE engineer
**Duties & Responsibilities**:
Develop and implement HSE policies, procedures, and guidelines in line with UAE laws (e.g., OSHAD, Ras Al kaimah Municipality, Trakhees).
Conduct regular site inspections, risk assessments, and safety audits to ensure adherence to safety standards.
Identify potential hazards, assess risks, and implement appropriate mitigation measures.
Develop and conduct HSE training programs talks for workers and staff, and conduct pre shift safety speech every morning
Investigate incidents, accidents, and near-misses; prepare detailed reports with root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions.
Maintain updated records of inspections, training, accidents, and HSE performance metrics.
Ensure compliance with client HSE requirements and participate in external audits or inspections.
Promote a strong safety culture by leading safety campaigns, awareness programs, and employee engagement initiatives.
Review and approve Method Statements and Risk Assessments submitted by subcontractors.
Prepare HSE performance reports for internal and client presentations.
**Qualifications & Experience**:
NEBOSH IGC or equivalent mandatory.
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in HSE management in the UAE
Strong knowledge of UAE safety regulations and standards.
Experience working with major contractors or on steel structure building projects.
Proficiency in incident investigation, risk assessment techniques, and emergency response planning.
Fluent in English; Arabic is a plus, Chinese language is (preferred)
