Amazon Global Selling is looking for a Business Development Consultant to join the Vietnam team based in Hanoi.
The role is to manage and develop a partner network of 3rd party services providers to Amazon sellers in different domains (Payment, Logistics, Marketing Agencies, Paid Education agencies, Brand services, etc.) and develop scalable prospect seller recruitment by engaging with those partners. These activities include but are not limited to on/offline events, joint business plans with partners, and programs and initiatives with Amazon regional and global teams.
Amazon Global Selling enables businesses worldwide to reach Amazon's global customer base and build international brands, including over 300 million active users and 150+ million Prime members, helping sellers build international brands.
Key job responsibilities
1. Develop a strong network of 3rd party service providers to enable sellers to sell on Amazon. Maintain partnerships, drive, and regularly review the service providers' performance.
2. Manage prospective seller recruitment via different activities including conferences and seminars and other seller recruitment programs.
3. Identify market opportunities and drive programs/initiatives to accelerate seller growth. Explore opportunities to develop business in new regions outside of Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh city.
4. Engage with prospective Sellers to understand their needs and gauge fit with Amazon. Cultivate their interest to sell on Amazon.
5. Collaborate with local and global teams to start, grow and support all aspects of the business sales cycle.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
1. Prior experience in a sales or business development role, preferably in eCommerce, online services, and retail industries.
2. Demonstrated drive to set and achieve high-bar goals while not compromising on the quality of the work.
3. Good communication and presentation skills.
4. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and deal with ambiguity.
5. Effective data analytical skill.
6. Strong written and verbal English skills. Fluent in Vietnamese.
7. 3+ years working experience.
8. BA/BS degree preferred.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
1. Proven ability to both think strategically and execute plans.
2. Excellent organization skills, and ability to effectively manage multiple projects and evolve in an ambiguous environment.
3. Enthusiastic and passionate – have a genuine interest in the product. Have the presence and ability to 'excite' people about Amazon Global Selling.
4. Ability to interact at management level with medium-to-large Vietnamese and international companies.
