About The Role

  1. Ensure that you fully understand the business strategy and positioning of the RARE Finds brand and can effectively articulate this positioning in the marketplace. This is the responsibility of ALL sales and marketing professionals, regardless of their responsibility level.
  2. Support the Sales and Marketing team in maximizing the hotel's revenue and achieving resort goals and KPIs.
  3. Managed client relationships, assisted with sales activities, and coordinated with internal departments to ensure a high level of service.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Assist the Sales Manager in developing and implementing sales strategies to meet revenue goals.
  2. Conduct market research to identify potential clients and new business opportunities.
  3. Prepare sales proposals, contracts, and presentations for prospective clients.
  4. Present the key differentiators of the resort to partners through Sales Visits, ensuring their understanding of the value of the products.
  5. Drive DMC and Tour Operating Contracting as per approved pricing.
  6. Maintain an awareness of competitor activity, developments, and best practices and share information with the team accordingly.
  7. Keep up to date with the economic situation and monitor trends within the designated markets and industries.
  8. Take a proactive approach to sales, anticipating and developing new opportunities.
  9. Develop strategic plans with the Kerzner RSOs for specified region assigned and market sector.
  10. Retain, expand, and grow revenue from designated geographic territories and market sectors.
  11. Communicate relevant promotions, tactical availability, and stop sales as needed.
  12. Conduct international business travel & Sales Events/client visits as required.
  13. Conduct proactive sales activities and ensure that this is recorded appropriately in Salesforce.
  14. Develop and maintain detailed knowledge of all aspects of the hotel to sell effectively.
  15. Manage communication between the Sales and Reservation team, front office, and operations teams.
  16. Manage and develop relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
  17. Resolve guests' issues that arise from the sales process and bring issues to the attention of leadership.
  18. Conduct surveys of local/competitor markets for designated territories and market sectors.
  19. Partner with the leadership team to understand the business needs and develop a relevant sales plan.
  20. Lead by example and mentor junior members of the team as required.
  21. Track key business indicators to determine the effectiveness of current systems and processes.
  22. Assist in planning and ensuring delivery of sales plans.
  23. Ensure all customer/partner data is collated and summarized in a usable format.
  24. Utilize data accurately to guide sales activity including cost/benefit analysis.
  25. Achieve hotel revenue and room night goals in the leisure market segments.
  26. Effectively oversee the LPO and invoicing process with the purchasing and finance team.
  27. Ensure that all incoming and outgoing booking/sales requests are attended to as per hotel standards.
  28. Take initiative to drive motivation levels of the team.
  29. Handle guest complaints and disputes following the instant pacification procedures.
  30. Ensure support of achievement of Quality tools and yield Management performance within the Sales team.
  31. Achieve budgeted business resort segment goals as a milestone to achieve the Vision
  32. Manage Salesforce entries to data entry standards.

Experience & Educational Requirements

  1. Minimum University Degree in Hospitality.
  2. Speaking an additional European language such as German is essential.
  3. Sales & Negotiation Training.
  4. Sales Force Training.
  5. Opera Sales and Catering Training.
  6. Minimum 3 years in Sales in a luxury 5-star hotel at a Manager level.
  7. In-depth knowledge of the UAE market and a strong background in the leisure and travel trade market.
  8. Basic level of Microsoft Office applications.
  9. High level of written and verbal business English.
  10. Proven results in a Sales role.
  11. Experience with data analysis and interpretation.
  12. Strong orientation towards customer service.
  13. Highly organized and proactive with the ability to meet deadlines.
  14. Strong presentation skills.
  15. Initiative and commitment to achieve.
  16. Attention to detail.
  17. Problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  18. Leadership skills.
  19. Effective communication.
