Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Commercial Manager to oversee financial management, contract negotiations, and business development for our newly established joinery factory. The ideal candidate will ensure profitability, manage budgets, and optimize procurement while securing high-value projects. They will collaborate with production, procurement, and design teams to maintain cost efficiency and ensure quality and client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial & Budget Management:

  • Develop and manage budgets, ensuring cost control and cash flow optimization.
  • Monitor project profitability and implement financial strategies to maximize revenue.

Contracts & Compliance:

  • Lead contract negotiations with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
  • Ensure all projects comply with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage risk assessment and contract execution to protect company interests.

Business Development & Client Relations:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, and stakeholders.
  • Support tendering and bidding processes to win competitive contracts.

Project Coordination & Cost Control:

  • Work closely with production, procurement, and design teams to maintain project budgets.
  • Optimize material procurement and resource allocation to minimize waste and costs.
  • Ensure timely project completion while maintaining quality standards.

Market Strategy & Growth Planning:

  • Develop and implement strategic plans to enhance the company's market position.
  • Analyze market trends and competitor activities to identify growth opportunities.
  • Propose innovations and improvements to drive long-term business success.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.
  • Minimum 8-10 years of experience in commercial management within joinery, fit-out, or construction.
  • Strong knowledge of contract management (FIDIC), financial planning, and procurement strategies.
  • Excellent negotiation, leadership, and business development skills.
  • Ability to analyze financial data and implement cost-saving initiatives.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with high-end fit-out and luxury joinery projects.
  • Familiarity with local regulations, contract laws, and compliance requirements.
  • Proven track record in securing large-scale commercial contracts.
