PositionOverview

About therole

The Museum Educator TrainingManager will be responsible for creating training contentand scheduling and delivering training programs for theMuseum Educator team as well as other staffwho engage with visitors and deliver interpretive programs fordiverse audiences.

The training program will includean induction phase and ongoing professional development throughregular short focused sessions designed to ensure staff remainengaged continuously improving and aligned with the museumsobjectives and latest industrypractices.

Responsibilities

Training Development &Delivery:

  • Createtraining programs that cater to the diverse needs and backgroundsof museumeducators.
  • Designand deliver training programs that enhance communication andinterpersonal skills fostering an inclusive and supportive workenvironment for all team members.
  • Conducttraining needs analyses biannually to identify areas forimprovement and refine program contentaccordingly.
  • Evaluate training effectivenessthrough feedback assessments and performance metrics to ensureknowledge transfer and application.
  • Abilitytodo independent research and understanding to create content thatmeets all learning needs and abilities.

AdministrativeCoordination:

  • Developand maintain training schedules aligned with operational needsensuring timely completion of all mandatory learning requirementsincluding safety training.
  • Manage traininglogistics such as venue setup material preparation and coordinationwith guest speakers or externaltrainers.
  • Maintain accurate records of trainingattendance qualifications and certifications.

Collaboration &Development:

  • Partnerwith the Interpretation Section Head and other departments to aligntraining strategies with museumwideobjectives.
  • Foster a culture of continuouslearning by encouraging feedback and implementing improvements intraining programs.
  • Build partnerships witheducational institutions and subject matter experts to enrichtraining resources.

Team Building &Leadership:

  • Leadteambuilding initiatives to strengthen collaboration among MuseumEducators.
  • Promote professional development bycreating career growth opportunities within theteam.

CandidateRequirements

  • Minimum5 years of experience designing and delivering training programsfor large groups in cultural hospitality or customerfacingenvironments.
  • Demonstrated ability to work insupervisory or management positions within a cultural oreducational setting.
  • UAE Culture awareness andunderstanding
  • Proficiency in IT and ability tolearn new software quickly.
  • Fluent in English(written and spoken) with a preference of Arabicbilingual.

RequiredEducation/Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in a relevant field studies arts administration history education traininghospitality and tourism).

PreferredExperience

  • Proficiency in additional languages would beadvantageous.
  • Experience working in museums ortourist attractions.
