Purpose Statement

Boston Scientific`s Modern PCI portfolio consists of Intravascular Ultrasound (IVUS) , Fractional Flow Reserve (FFR) , Rotational Atherectomy (ROTA), and Chronic Total Occlusion (CTO) Therapies. Together with Coronary Therapies that include Drug Eluting Technologies (DET) as Stents and Balloons, various Catheters, Guidewires, and other consumables, they constitute Boston Scientific`s comprehensive Interventional Cardiology Portfolio .

The Modern PCI CSR secures safe and successful outcomes for BSC therapies related to the franchise by providing clinical and technical support on a daily basis. A team player able to promote Modern PCI therapies, operates proactively and constantly develops the necessary skills and competencies. A product expert able to protect the long-term value of the therapies by expanding to new Accounts and geographies, defending the pricing strategy, and ensuring safe usage through support and training before, during, and after the procedure.

Works closely with the Coronary Therapies Franchise Lead, New Cardio Territory Managers along with relevant Commercial and Marketing teams in the region of responsibility.

Key Responsibilities:

Customer Education & Case Support:

  1. Demonstrates a deep knowledge of the products and therapies of their responsibility, including technical specifications, features, cost efficiency, clinical performance, and troubleshooting.
  2. Provides technical support to customers during a procedure in the Catheterization Laboratories (Cath Labs).
  3. Assists in increasing the efficiency of Cath Lab Inventory Management (consignment, communication of missing stock, minimize expiring stock).
  4. Gathers and follows up on Cath Lab staff product-related requests, liaises with peers, and provides feedback in a timely manner.
  5. Capable of building strong and trusted business relationships with Hospital Staff and supporting them before, during, and after the cases. Always operates based on Boston Scientific's ethics and SOPs.
  6. Keeps up to date with the latest clinical data supplied by the company, and interprets, presents, and discusses this data with health professionals during presentations.
  7. Provides day-to-day field clinical (technical) support and education, Account management, coordination, and collection of training needs.
  8. Provides training to existing and new partners on product portfolio and new products with technical and clinical data.
  9. Stays informed about the activities of health services in a particular area.
  10. Collects educational needs
  11. Educates physicians, hospital personnel, and staff on (not limited to) Modern PCI Products by coordinating training sessions, Hands-on training, in-service education programs, seminars, and/or assigning the identified HCPs to either Boston Scientific or 3rd party educational activities in collaboration with the relevant functions in the organization.
  12. KOLs segmentation and engagement on educational activities based on divisional/regional need.
  13. Utilization of provided tools for streamlined field activities
  14. eCare / EDUCARE platforms.
  15. Extensive usage of available remote support tools to increase productivity.
  16. Reports complaint reports in a timely manner as indicated by Boston Scientific's policy.

Commercial and Marketing Contributions:

For the region of responsibility and according to Divisional strategies:

  1. Market analysis
  2. Collects, analyzes, and keeps records related to market size and potential, market/product trends.
  3. Excels in competitive intelligence and prepares actions to block competition from accessing the market and/or increase their market share.
  4. Preparation of quarterly and annual activity reviews and market analyses.
  5. Product / Therapy launches
  6. Assists in creating launch plans for therapies and products.
  7. Monitor competitor activity and competitors' products
  8. Commercial Co-Leadership
  9. Gathers business opportunities and discusses them with peers operating in the same geography.
  10. Operates with a portfolio pull-through mindset.
  11. Assists in preparation and attends/presents on Divisional Quarterly Business Reviews (QBR).
  12. Assists on tender specifications for the portfolio of responsibility.
  13. Utilization of provided tools for streamlined field activities
  14. Sales Funnel Support tools.
  15. Extensive usage of available remote support tools to increase productivity.

Skills & Background Requirements (must-have)

  1. Bachelor's or master's degree required (biomedical engineering).
  2. Minimum 3 years of experience in Cardiology in Industry (Sales Representative, Clinical support, other).
  3. Clinical sales skills, solutions-oriented thinking, and proactive behavior.
  4. Able to work in a matrix environment, independently and as part of a team.
  5. Efficient communication and presentation skills.
  6. Stress resistant.
  7. Fluent in Arabic and English.
  8. Ability to travel extensively (60-80%).
