Health Systems District Leader West Africa, Gulf - Strategic Account Manager

Job Description

Job Title:
Develop clear and achievable strategies, objectives, and tactical plans for the district based on key account management, customer-centricity, segmentation, customer needs, and market conditions synchronized with the business objectives.

Your Role:

  1. Develop and drive credibility and long-term relationships with customers in the assigned area to fulfill long-term sales objectives.
  2. Identify and develop new business opportunities, including solutions in collaboration with the Solutions team in the Market.
  3. Execute and manage the yearly business plan of the district/region.
  4. Meet or exceed sales, volumes, order intake, and financial targets, including direct cost management.
  5. Responsible for the monthly district business review meetings: sales, volumes, order intake, sales forecast, price realization, Cost of Organization (CoO), customer complaints, escalations, and supply chain.
  6. Deal approval, approve multimodality within pricing framework, and ensure escalation for deals outside pricing framework.
  7. Combine business offerings into complete configured solutions, including supporting value-added services.
  8. Ensure coordination between all customer-facing functions and distribution channels in the district to guarantee 'one face to the customer.' Ensure strong collaboration with the Solutions team.
  9. Develop and maintain excellent communication links and relationships with top customers and key decision makers in the district.
  10. Provide regular feedback about market development and competitive situation.
  11. Ensure follow-up with customers with overdue accounts.
  12. Escalation management.
  13. Ensure uncompromised implementation of the standard business processes, quality standards, and standards of business conduct according to the company policies.
  14. Responsible for compliance performance within the district and for reporting compliance issues to quality and regulatory functions (for management review purposes) at regional level.
  15. Drive continuous improvements applying LEAN.
  16. People management, including selection, development, goal setting, and performance management. Ensure overall high levels of talent and engagement levels. Lead, direct, and motivate the sales team to achieve the predefined sales volume and profit goals.
  17. Daily demonstration of the highest level of leadership competencies and 5 behaviors.

Lead in building and strengthening the company brand in the District.

  1. Lead/participate in industry groups towards shaping a healthy business environment and support relevant organizations sharing the same cause as the company.
  2. Accountable for the delivery of the District P&L.
  3. Company representative in labor and industrial relations.
  4. Build best-in-class public and government relations and optimize these contacts for commercial leverage.

You're the Right Fit If:

  1. You have a Bachelor's degree with > 15 years of related experience.
  2. Experience in Sales in B2B, B2C environments.
  3. Team management experience.
  4. Experience in building long-term strategic account plans.
  5. Marketing know-how.
  6. Very good understanding of Finance and logistics.
  7. Relevant industry/market/distribution know-how. Implement new distribution strategy.
  8. Excellent negotiation skills.
  9. Managing a large commercial team with KAMs.
  10. Ability to represent the company externally.
