Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized DT Assistant to join our team at GEMS Education. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical support and coordinating laboratory activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Technical Support: Provide technical assistance to teachers and students, ensuring that all equipment and technology are functioning properly.
  • Laboratory Coordination: Coordinate with the Head of DT and DT teachers to prepare practicals, maintain equipment, and ensure the labs are organized and clean.
  • Inventory Management: Prepare annual lists of consumables, glassware, and equipment in conjunction with the Head of DT.
  • Compliance and Safety: Ensure that all safety procedures are followed in the labs, and report any breakages or damage to the Head of Department.
  • Communication and Teamwork: Develop strong relationships with colleagues, attend staff meetings, and serve on committees as required.
  • Additional Responsibilities: Perform other duties as requested by direct and dotted reporting line managers/supervisors.
Requirements
  • Experience: Experience in working in a similar position.
  • Communication Skills: Strong communication skills with excellent standard of written and spoken English.
  • ICT Skills: ICT skills desirable.
