Galley Butchery Expert:

Celebrity Cruises is seeking a Galley Butchery Expert to join our culinary team. As a key member of our galley team, you will be responsible for the preparation and production of high-quality meats and poultry products for our guests.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement efficient butchery processes to meet guest demands.
  • Collaborate with the Head Butcher and Executive Chef to develop and implement meat production schedules.
  • May be required to assist with food transportation from the preparation areas to the galley.
  • Duties include the rotation of stock using the FIFO procedure.
  • Maintain a clean and sanitized working area and utensils following United States Public Health regulations.
  • Must be present during USPH inspections.
  • Responsible for storing received meats and poultry in freezers on loading days.
  • Provide excellent customer service and respond to guest inquiries.
  • Attend meetings, training activities, and courses as required.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of three years' experience as a butcher in an upscale hotel, resort, or cruise ship environment.
  • Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques, equipment usage, and safety protocols.
  • High school diploma or basic education equivalency required.
