Job Summary

Talent Pal is seeking a highly skilled Airport Operations Manager to join our team. As a key member of our Airport Operations Team, you will be responsible for driving business planning and operational management across key functional areas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Business Planning and Operational Management: Develop and implement business plans to drive operational efficiency and effectiveness across key functional areas, including Emirates Ground Dispatch, Hub Control Centre, and Centralised Load Control.
  • Stand Infrastructure Roadmap: Collaborate with Dubai Airports to define and develop the stand infrastructure roadmap to maintain the highest level of operational stand availability.
  • Weight and Balance Management: Manage the regular production of weight and balance documents, including loading instructions and trim sheets, to ensure aircraft safety and maximize commercial load.
  • Automated Loading Reconciliation System: Implement and manage the automated loading reconciliation system network-wide, ensuring tight control of systems, processes, and staff training.
  • Service Level Agreement (SLA) Management: Effectively manage the SLA with dnata for CLC, monitoring performance against operational metrics and recommending improvements to SLA with relevant ground handlers.
  • Load Control Operations: Ensure smooth load control operations for all Emirates diversions and charter flights globally, managing the SLA with dnata through regular quality audits and specialist operational support.
  • Hub Control Centre Management: Lead the Emirates Hub Control Centre, maximizing connectivity of payload through the Hub while ensuring On-Time Performance.
  • Stand Planning and Tactical Tow Planning: Manage Emirates Ground Dispatch to achieve flight safety and On-Time Departure, optimizing payload uplift.
  • Competitor Activity Tracking: Track competitor activity to benchmark against the best airlines, researching process innovations and IT technologies to create operational efficiencies.
  • Safety and Security Management: Ensure the highest standards of safety and security are maintained across all functional areas, maintaining effective communication and cooperation with airport departments.
Requirements
  • Education: A completed Degree or Honours (123 or equivalent)
  • Experience: 10 years of relevant work experience in Airport Operations or Ground Operations
  • Knowledge and Skills: Detailed knowledge in areas of operations services and movement control, baggage services, ramp operations, technical services, load control, and data systems/communication.
  • Certifications and Training: Familiarity with airline and ground safety emergency and accident procedures at Dubai International Airport, and awareness of internationally recognized standards.
