Job Purpose: To oversee the efficient execution of airport operations, ensuring that our team provides exceptional services and adheres to dnata standards.

  • Plan and allocate resources to meet operational requirements, guaranteeing timely completion of tasks.
  • Ensure staff safety by providing guidance, support, and setting a positive example for desired safety behaviors.
  • Organize and supervise a small team during operations, ensuring work is completed efficiently and in compliance with procedures and service standards.
  • Lead a team of staff on the day of operations, handling incoming and outgoing flights as allocated.
  • Conduct shift briefings to inform staff of responsibilities and expectations, aligning with SLAs.
  • Provide performance feedback to line managers based on day-of-operations performance.
  • Maintain equipment and devices, ensuring they are used and cared for appropriately.
  • Conduct regular safety briefings to ensure adherence to safety standards.
  • Intervene and take immediate action when risk exposure occurs, modeling safe behaviors and following up on corrective actions.
  • Comply with all relevant safety, quality, and environmental management policies, procedures, and controls to maintain a healthy and safe work environment.
  • Ensure implementation of work instructions and compliance with established standard operating procedures.
  • Ensure staff grooming meets dnata standards and requirements.
  • Escalate issues to the Office on shift to ensure proper corrective measures are taken.
  • Assist with manual handling activities when required.
  • Maintain smooth running and serviceability of support systems and equipment, taking necessary steps in case of failure or breakdown.
  • Keep accurate records and documentation for the shift in the assigned area.

Qualifications & Experience:

Airport Operations: High School with a Certificate or Diploma in business administration, aviation, ground handling, or customer service.

High School with a certificate: 46 years of experience in business administration, aviation, ground handling, or customer service.

Diploma Holder: 24 years of experience in business administration, aviation, ground handling, or customer service.

Basic understanding of flight operations terminology.

Proficient understanding of Local/International aviation safety and security requirements.

Proficient IT and Computer Literacy.

English Language Skills Level 5.

Supervisory Skills, People management, Conflict Resolution skills, Proficient Safety Awareness Skills, Proficient Planning and Organizing Skills, Proficient Communication Skills.
