Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, manage, and deliver comprehensive assurance and advisory services to provide management with an independent appraisal of the effectiveness of risk management and governance.
  • Proactively advise and assist management in the identification and cost-effective mitigation of risks as well as in achieving protection and efficient utilization of corporate resources.
  • Develop long-term strategy and vision for providing audit services to the business entities using a risk-based audit planning methodology, expert industry knowledge, and best practices.
  • Drive initiatives across designed to strengthen audit governance and control.
  • Provide assurance and advisory services as well as special assignments as requested by management with a view to assisting the business in enhancing operational efficiency, improving revenue, and reducing costs while promoting and influencing the adoption of best practice control and governance frameworks.
  • Develop relationships with key members of senior management across and advise them on addressing key risks affecting their businesses in the most efficient way through the use of analytics, policies, processes, and control frameworks to achieve optimal risk protection.
  • Build and demonstrate subject matter expertise across the lines of business to provide focused audit and advisory solutions based on a structured risk-based approach. Obtain management agreement for risks and controls and design an effective plan to manage/mitigate those risks.
  • Ensure audit teams comply with internationally accepted auditing standards and codes of ethics published by regulatory bodies, including the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) and Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA).
  • Develop and maintain relationships with multiple internal and external parties to enable combined assurance. Represent the organization at external professional forums and keep up-to-date with the latest developments in the industry and profession so as to promote best practices across the department and the organization.
  • Take responsibility for achieving Internal Audit department metrics/key performance indicators through leading effective delivery of a broad range of risk assurance and advisory services.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: Master or Bachelor in Finance/Audit or any related specialty, Chartered Accountant/CPA/CIA.
  • Experience: 10 years with knowledge and experience of an internal audit function, with experience in leading teams in a complex environment.
  • Strong understanding of risk management principles and internal control frameworks.
  • Aptitude for continuous learning and development.
Reporting Line

The Director/Principal/Manager of Internal Audit reports to the Head of Internal Audit.

Dubai.
