Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Kitchen Steward to join our Food and Beverage Service team at Novotel Hotels. As a key member of our stewarding team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and sanitation in our kitchen and food preparation areas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Uniform and Grooming Standards

Report for duty punctually, wearing the correct uniform and name badges at all times.

  • Duties and Assignments

Perform duties as assigned by the Stewarding Supervisor, including general cleaning duties and maintenance of equipment.

  • Equipment Maintenance and Sanitation

Ensure the safe, correct, and economic use of stewarding equipment, including dishwashing machines, glass washing machines, pot washing machines, floor cleaning and maintenance machines, silver burnishing machines, and transportation vehicles.

  • Cleaning and Sanitation Standards

Clean, wash, polish dishes and other operating equipment in any food and beverage outlet according to established hygiene and sanitation standards.

  • Pot and Utensil Cleaning

Clean, wash pots, pans, and other kitchen utensils in accordance with established hygiene and sanitation standards.

  • Equipment Preparation

Count, sort, and prepare operating equipment for banquet functions.

  • Equipment Maintenance and Repair

Ensure that all operating and kitchen equipment/utensils are maintained to high standards with minimum breakage.

  • Machinery and Equipment Sanitation

Ensure that all machineries and equipment are clean and sanitized according to established hygiene and sanitation standards.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have excellent attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to work well in a team environment.
