Job Summary

As the Assistant Chief Engineer at Occidental Sharjah Grand, you will be responsible for the smooth operation of all hotel facilities, ensuring efficient management of the engineering department budget, and overseeing renovation projects. You will also be responsible for implementing energy-saving management programs, managing documentation and records, and providing technical support services 24/7. Additionally, you will ensure compliance with EHS policies and safety procedures, as well as statutory requirements and certifications. Your role will also involve supervising contractors, managing AMC agreements and warranty periods, and overseeing the PPM program.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering from a reputable university, with postgraduate studies in similar subjects highly recommended. You will also require 3-5 years of experience in the hospitality sector, with at least 2 years in a management role, preferably in a 4/5-star resort. You must be committed to living in the northern emirates and have a strong command over Rooms and F&B operations.

You will also need full proficiency in English and a good understanding of market segments, facilities management, procurement functions, pricing strategies, and sales & marketing methods.
