Key Responsibilities
  • Documentation and Compliance: Prepare and coordinate necessary documentation to ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
  • Cargo Coordination: Coordinate cargo pick up and transfer, monitor status, and communicate with export-related authorities and customers.
  • Communication and Customer Service: Communicate with overseas agents and clients in a timely manner, including pre-alerts, rate requests, and shipment status updates.
  • Shipment Tracking and Customer Updates: Track shipments and update customers on status.
  • Customer File Management: Create and maintain customer files, including invoicing and payable approval.
  • Audit and Quality Control: Audit files to ensure accuracy and completion.
  • Team Collaboration: Interact with coworkers in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Customs Compliance: Complete US Customs AES filings and manage JAS operational and customer Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: High School Diploma or GED, with a minimum of 2-5 years' experience handling air exports shipments or a combination of education and expertise.
  • Skills and Qualifications: Excellent organizational skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong computer skills, detail-oriented, able to multitask and meet deadlines, self-motivated, and able to work in a team and independently.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Additional languages, geographical knowledge, Cargowise (C1) experience, experience in the freight forwarding industry, and knowledge of US Exports Compliance.
