About the Role

The Lana, Dubai - Dorchester Collection is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Luxury Valet Professional to join our team. As a key member of our Valet Department, you will be responsible for ensuring the impeccable standards of our luxury hotel are met in all areas.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in overseeing the Uniform, Linen and Valet Operations to ensure our guests and colleagues receive the best experience.
  • Be responsible for assigned tasks in the Valet Department to ensure Dorchester standards are met.
  • Oversee daily shift operations of the department to ensure all areas are covered and processes are followed.
  • Work with the external laundry provider to ensure timely pickup and delivery of guest laundry, uniforms, rooms linen, spa, pool, gym and Food & Beverage linen.
  • Complete inspections of returned items to ensure they are cleaned correctly, no stains, damage and hold people accountable for corrective action.
  • Collect and deliver guest laundry as per Lana standards to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Participate in the management of the department's controllable expenses to achieve or exceed budgeted goals. Understand the impact of department's operations on the hotel's profitability.
  • Conduct inventories and be responsible to maintain all records for par levels, discards and losses.
  • Prepare the monthly laundry reports and compare actual costs to budget/forecast.

  • Knowledge of PMS, payroll and purchasing systems.
  • Great communication skills with a strong guest service ethic.
  • English is the primary language used in our hotel. Comfortable communication in this language is essential.
  • At least 1 year's experience in a similar position in a luxury 5-star brand, with some pre-opening experience. Middle East experience would be advantageous.
  • A relevant high school certificate and a wealth of past experience working for luxury hotels.
