Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Healthcare Support Specialist to join our team at University Hospital Sharjah. As a key member of our biomedical engineering department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our medical equipment and patient care systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Equipment Maintenance: Responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs on biomedical equipment, ensuring they are in good working condition and meet international standards.
  • Reporting and Documentation: Prepare and submit regular reports on equipment maintenance, quality checks, and calibration, as well as participate in the technical evaluation of proposed equipment for procurement.
  • Quality Assurance: Coordinate and supervise on-site medical service contractors to ensure quality of work and performance, and participate in the International Accreditation program to assist UHS in maintaining international accreditation standards.
  • Commissioning and Training: Participate in the commissioning of assigned areas and associated clinical areas, and provide training to hospital staff on the use and maintenance of medical equipment.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong background in biomedical engineering, excellent communication and problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
