We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Catering Sales Manager to join our team at Accor. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth and delivering exceptional customer service to our clients.
Key Responsibilities- Sales and Business Development: Focus on selling conference space and outlets, including food and beverage, audio-visual, and hotel services to maximize catering revenues.
- Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to solicit, negotiate, and book new and repeat business.
- Event Planning and Coordination: Plan, up-sell, and detail meetings and functions with clients, including space requirements, times, equipment, menus, and payment procedures.
- Contract Management: Complete contracts, prepare paperwork, and coordinate with hotel departments to ensure quality product delivery and customer satisfaction.
- Event Management: Manage events from beginning to end, processing all information related to bookings, including creative menu preparation, electrical and internet requirements, and guaranteeing food and beverage events.
- Record Keeping and Reporting: Maintain accurate records and files to provide group history, ensure future quality service, and enhance future prospects.
- Sales Performance: Exceed personal sales and activities goals, monthly, quarterly, and annually.
- Technology and Systems: Utilize Opera Sales & Catering System to track, solicit, book, and follow-up accounts.
- Site Inspections and Client Meetings: Conduct site inspections with prospective and existing clients.
- Regulatory Compliance: Be knowledgeable of and enforce local and state laws and regulations, with specific reference to health and safety.
- Reporting and Analysis: Prepare weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reports as required, and assist with compilation of competitive intelligence information.
- Communication and Collaboration: Disseminate group/event information to hotel departments via memos, emails, banquet event orders, directives, resumes, and rooming lists in a professional and timely manner.
- Teamwork and Leadership: Attend daily/weekly/monthly meetings, establish good business and social relationships with the industry, and participate in activities related to public relations to further increase sales leads.
- Space Management and Standards: Control function space maximization and ensure Opera Sales & Catering standards are met.
- Forecasting and Budgeting: Work closely with the Assistant Director, Sales to prepare monthly forecasts and month-end reports.
- Education: Minimum High School Diploma, Business School, and/or Hotel School Diploma preferred.
- Experience: Minimum two years experience in catering, exposure to banquet operation is a plus.
- Hotel Environment: Minimum three years experience in a luxury hotel environment.
- Skills and Qualifications: Candidate must have flexible schedule, ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, results-oriented, enthusiastic, strong team player, able to prioritize, organize, and be self-efficient, computer experience at intermediate to advanced level, and proficient in English language (verbal and written), second language is an asset.
