Job Description

Job Title: Barista

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Barista to join our team at Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group. As a Barista, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional beverage experiences to our guests.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Concept and Product Knowledge: Develop a thorough understanding of our outlet's concept, menu offerings, and beverage standards to effectively communicate with guests.
  • Beverage Preparation: Demonstrate expertise in mixing and matching ingredients to create a wide range of creative non-alcoholic drinks, coffee, espresso, blended coffee, teas, and garnish drinks according to our standards.
  • Customer Interaction: Engage with guests to recommend suitable drinks and provide exceptional customer service.
  • Inventory Management: Conduct daily inventory checks to ensure accurate stock levels and prevent stockouts during service periods.
  • Team Collaboration: Assist the Bar Supervisor and manager in creating new blended drinks for promotional activities and new menus.
  • Quality Control: Ensure all beverages, including coffee and teas, are in good order and served to our high standards.
  • Adaptability: Be flexible and willing to adapt to changing menu offerings, promotions, and guest preferences.

Requirements:

  • Knowledge and Skills: Possess a good understanding of beverage preparation, inventory management, and customer service principles.
  • Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with guests, colleagues, and management.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team to achieve common goals.
