Roles and Responsibilities

The Activity Coordinator will be responsible for:

  1. Supporting student clubs and club advisors, promoting the establishment and development of new clubs, and maintaining appropriate contact with all clubs, including advisors.
  2. Implementing the annual plan addressing the educational, cultural, and social needs of the student body, clubs, communities, and societies.
  3. Coordinating campus special events such as New Student Orientation, Club Fair, Global Day, National Days, AU Got Talent, and other activities.
  4. Assisting in providing an annual orientation for student clubs' board members to ensure awareness of policies and procedures.
  5. Reviewing the bills/invoices of the student clubs.
  6. Coordinating, preparing, and disseminating publications related to clubs. Assisting in preparing and editing student flyers, posters, and other materials prepared by clubs for on and off-campus distribution. Implementing and overseeing processes for posting/distributing of materials on campus as requested.
  7. Maintaining accurate records of all Student Activities events and activities (including event proposals, budgets, contacts, contracts, media/publicity, and evaluations).
  8. Supervising trips and coordinating travel arrangements for student-related travel in accordance with AU policies and procedures.
  9. Communicating with students about events and/or student life opportunities available at AU.
  10. Seeking feedback and collecting data on activities provided by OSL to identify potential areas of improvement.
  11. Supervising the election process for student clubs and student council officers.
  12. Preparing weekly/monthly reports.
  13. Working closely with the clubs' advisors, conducting a monthly meeting with them, and organizing an orientation session at the beginning of each academic year.
  14. Ensuring proper media coverage of student life events, activities, and programs.
  15. Performing miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned by the Director of Student Life.
