Job Summary: As a Regional HR Business Partner at Arabnews, you will play a pivotal role in supporting HR operations across approximately 10 countries. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure seamless recruitment, onboarding, and HR administration. This role involves collaborating closely with the HR team to implement HR initiatives, maintain compliance, and foster a positive work environment. Fluency in English and Arabic is essential for effective communication and support across the diverse region.

Key Responsibilities:

Recruitment and Hiring:

  • Assist in the full recruitment cycle, from job posting to candidate selection, ensuring that all necessary documentation is completed accurately and on time.
  • Coordinate and assist with interviews, both in person and remotely, to ensure a smooth and efficient hiring process.
  • Conduct reference checks and background verifications to ensure the highest level of candidate quality.

Employment Documentation:

  • Help prepare and manage employment contracts and offer letters, ensuring compliance with local labor laws and company policies.
  • Ensure all new hire documentation is completed accurately and on time, maintaining up-to-date employee records.
  • Maintain and update employee records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with local labor laws and company policies, staying up-to-date on any changes or updates.

Expatriate Management:

  • Handle immigration applications for expatriate employees, working closely with local PROs to ensure timely and efficient processing.
  • Manage visa renewals and other immigration-related processes on a timely basis, ensuring compliance with local immigration laws and regulations.
  • Ensure compliance with local immigration laws and regulations, staying up-to-date on any changes or updates.

HR Administration:

  • Support the onboarding process for new employees, including orientation and training coordination, to ensure a smooth transition into the company.
  • Assist with regional compliance and regulatory requirements, staying up-to-date on any changes or updates.
  • Stay up to date on labor laws and regulations to ensure the company is compliant and in the best position with hiring and HR practices.
  • Advise management on any legal changes that may impact HR policies or practices, providing expert guidance and support.
  • Assist with employee relations and address any HR-related inquiries, providing timely and effective support.

Employee Separation:

  • Handle administrative responsibilities for separating/departing employees, whether voluntary or involuntary, ensuring compliance with local labor laws and company policies.
  • Help with the offboarding process, including retrieval of company property and deactivation of system access, ensuring a smooth and efficient transition.
  • Ensure compliance with local labor laws and company policies during the separation process, maintaining accuracy and up-to-date records.

General Duties:

  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of HR policies and procedures, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives.
  • Assist with HR reporting and data analysis, providing insights and recommendations for process improvements.
  • Support other HR professionals in the global department as needed, providing expertise and guidance.
  • Participate in HR projects and initiatives to enhance employee engagement and satisfaction, driving business results and growth.
  • Coordinate with PRO on visa/work permit renewals and new applications for new hires, ensuring timely and efficient processing.
