Job Title: IT Support Manager
About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced IT Support Manager to join our team at the American University of Sharjah. The successful candidate will have a strong background in IT support and leadership, with a proven track record of managing IT teams and implementing effective support strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team of IT support specialists to provide high-quality support to university staff and students.
- Develop and implement IT support strategies to ensure efficient and effective support delivery.
- Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure seamless integration of support services.
- Provide technical guidance and support to IT staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their roles effectively.
- Ensure compliance with IT policies and procedures, and maintain accurate records of support activities.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of seven years of relevant experience in a similar function/role.
- Proven experience in a leadership role within IT support or a related field.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong technical knowledge across a range of IT systems and applications.
- ITIL certification or relevant IT certifications.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Familiarity with applications and IT support tools and services.
Preferred Qualifications:
- UAE national preferred.
