Talent Pal is seeking a highly skilled Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for managing and processing financial transactions, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in our accounts receivable process.
Key Responsibilities- Financial Transaction Processing: Process and record invoices, receipts, and other financial transactions related to accounts receivable, ensuring accuracy and completeness of data entry and maintaining proper documentation.
- Invoice Generation and Management: Generate and send accurate and timely invoices to customers or clients, verifying the accuracy of billing information, such as prices, quantities, discounts, and payment terms.
- Overdue Account Management: Monitor and follow up on overdue accounts and outstanding payments, communicating with customers to resolve payment discrepancies, arrange payment plans, and ensure timely collection of payments.
- Account Reconciliation: Perform regular reconciliations of customer accounts to ensure accurate recording and allocation of payments, investigating and resolving any discrepancies or issues identified during the reconciliation process.
- Customer Information Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer information in the accounts receivable system, updating customer records, contact details, credit limits, and payment terms as necessary.
- Reporting and Analysis: Prepare regular reports and analysis related to accounts receivable, including aging reports, cash flow projections, and collection performance metrics.
- Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with internal teams, such as sales, customer service, and finance, to resolve customer issues, address billing inquiries, and improve the overall accounts receivable process.
- Compliance and Regulatory Knowledge: Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and relevant accounting standards, staying updated on industry regulations and best practices related to accounts receivable management.
- Technical Skills: Utilize accounting software, enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, and other tools to manage accounts receivable processes efficiently, identifying areas for process improvement and efficiency gains within the accounts receivable function.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field (preferred)
- Experience: Proven experience in accounts receivable or a similar finance role
- Skills: Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices, proficiency in using accounting software and ERP systems, excellent attention to detail and accuracy, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, effective communication and interpersonal skills, ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines, knowledge of relevant legal and regulatory requirements, proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other office applications.
