Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Pastry and Food Preparation Specialist to join our team at INDEX Holding. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for preparing and presenting high-quality food and pastries in our shop.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Respond to and handle customer complaints related to product quality.
  • Interact with customers to obtain feedback on products.
  • Prepare and develop a variety of pastries, cakes, sandwiches, and bread items.
  • Maintain a prep list of station duties and assist in receiving and storing delivered items.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Head Chef.
  • Follow the FIFO method to maximize freshness and adhere to sanitation, food safety, and hygiene guidelines.
  • Ensure appealing plate presentation and assist in food inventory and control.
  • Clean food prep areas, equipment, and utensils, and ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations within the kitchen area.

Requirements:

  • Fluent in English.
  • Experience in customer service.
  • 1-2 years of experience in cooking, preferably in a hot kitchen and pastry section.
  • Ability to take direction and work calmly and effectively under pressure.
  • Culinary diploma/degree is an asset.
