We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Area Manager to join our team at GMG. As an Area Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our retail outlets in your designated area, ensuring maximum sales, profitability, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee store operations to maximize sales and productivity, including monitoring and optimizing commercial Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) such as Conversion rate, Units Per Transaction (UPT), Average Basket Value (AVB), and Traffic.
  • Stay up-to-date with local trading patterns, competitor activities, and the trading environment to adapt strategies accordingly.
  • Efficiently deploy resources to maximize productivity and control costs within budgetary constraints, including managing overtime, stock, and consumables.
  • Implement promotions according to guidelines and identify local and seasonal promotional opportunities to capitalize on.
  • Prepare reports on fast-moving and best-selling stock items for buying sessions and maintain operational standards across stores.
  • Monitor inventory management systems, initiate actions on slow-moving products, and ensure effective stock management and timely stock counts.
  • Manage staffing levels, conduct store visits and team meetings to optimize operational efficiency, and ensure compliance with employment and state laws, health, and safety standards, as well as maintain proper loss prevention measures.
  • Uphold the company's image through adherence to dress codes and maintain retail standards in all showrooms.
  • Provide regular product feedback to senior management and brand/category management departments, supervise visual merchandising to align with brand and theme objectives, and train, manage, develop, and motivate staff to increase sales and efficiency.
