Job Overview

The Stewarding Attendant plays a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards within the organization. This position is essential for ensuring that all cleaning materials and equipment are managed effectively and safely.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cleaning Management: Responsible for the appropriate cleaning materials and their usage.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure that cleaning standards are upheld consistently.
  • Equipment Storage: Safely and systematically store cleaned equipment.
  • Adherence to Procedures: Follow established cleaning protocols as outlined in the operational manual.
  • Safety Compliance: Utilize cleaning materials correctly, ensuring safety equipment is used when handling chemicals.
  • Resource Efficiency: Minimize the overuse of cleaning supplies.
  • Designated Cleaning Areas: Ensure that cleaning tasks are performed in the appropriate locations.
  • Team Oversight: Supervise the stewarding team to maintain operational efficiency.
General Duties
  • Inter-departmental Relations: Foster positive relationships across departments.
  • Health & Safety: Adhere to all health and safety regulations at all times.
  • Personal Hygiene: Maintain high standards of personal hygiene.
  • Equipment Usage: Ensure all equipment is used according to specifications.
  • Food Safety Compliance: Be knowledgeable about laws regarding food handling and service.
  • Emergency Preparedness: Familiarize with evacuation procedures in case of emergencies.
  • Theft Prevention: Implement measures to prevent pilferage.
  • Energy Conservation: Promote energy-saving practices, such as turning off unnecessary lights and equipment.
  • Documentation Management: Maintain essential corporate documents and records.
  • Correspondence Handling: Produce and manage correspondence and presentations.
  • Mail Management: Sort and distribute incoming mail and organize outgoing correspondence.
  • Contact Database Maintenance: Keep updated contact information for management and relevant members.
  • Resource Compilation: Compile useful lists of contacts for organizational needs.
  • Document Production: Photocopy and print documents as required.
