As their operations expand in the Middle East, they are seeking a driven and enthusiastic Accounting Manager to join their team in Dubai. This position is a full-time remote opportunity, requiring collaboration with an international cross-functional team.
Position Overview
The Accounting Manager will oversee daily accounting functions, prepare financial reports, analyze financial information, manage journal entries, supervise financial activities, and handle fixed asset management.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive accounting services for client organizations, including bookkeeping, payment processing, and payroll management.
- Draft, review, and finalize essential contracts, ensuring meticulous checks prior to engaging legal professionals.
- Develop and implement a task list necessary for corporate operations in various countries, primarily for clients in the Middle East, and execute these tasks effectively.
- Identify, negotiate, and maintain relationships with external service providers, such as accounting firms, tax advisors, secretarial services, and legal experts.
- Design and execute strategies for operational efficiencies and cost savings.
- Conduct independent research and collaborate with both internal and external resources to address complex challenges beyond immediate expertise.
- Facilitate the establishment of new offices as required by clients, managing the entire process from inception to completion.
Qualifications
- Must be a resident of Dubai.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- A minimum of 2 years of accounting experience in Dubai.
- At least 5 years of overall experience in accounting roles.
- Experience in a start-up or lean environment is essential.
- Ability to work autonomously and manage multiple priorities efficiently.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- CPA or CMA certification is preferred.
