Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Group Event Coordination: Coordinate with guests to confirm event details, organize and distribute information to departments, and ensure seamless execution of events.
  • Sales and Marketing: Develop and implement sales strategies to drive revenue growth, negotiate prices, and prepare accurate quotes.
  • Vendor Management: Coordinate with external vendors to accommodate guest requirements, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of services.
  • Menu Planning: Collaborate with the Director of Culinary to create menus that meet clients' individual needs while maintaining hotel food and labor costs.
  • Guest Service: Ensure delivery of exceptional guest service through follow-up and coordination with hotel departments.
  • Operations Management: Work independently to manage group arrivals, chair meetings with hotel operations teams, and ensure all Anantara service standards are met.
  • Communication: Respond promptly to guest inquiries, negotiate prices, and prepare accurate quotes.
  • Site Inspections: Conduct site inspections with hotel operations teams to deliver exceptional experiences.
  • Team Collaboration: Participate in departmental meetings, team-building efforts, and other activities to drive business growth and excellence.
  • Competitive Intelligence: Assist in compiling competitive intelligence information to inform sales and marketing strategies.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Hospitality, Events, or Tourism industry.
  • Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in a luxury hotel environment, with a proven track record in event organization and sales.
  • Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, good negotiation skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and proficiency in French and English (additional languages a plus).
  • Personal Qualities: Positive attitude, dynamic personality, good communication and interpersonal skills, and a creative mindset.
