Job Description

**Job Summary**

We are seeking a highly skilled Credit Risk Analyst to join our team at Emirates Islamic. As a Credit Risk Analyst, you will play a critical role in analyzing and evaluating credit risk for our customers, ensuring that our bank's assets are protected and our customers' financial needs are met.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Financial Statement Analysis: Conduct thorough analysis of financial statements to assess creditworthiness of customers and identify potential risks.
  2. Credit Proposal Development: Develop high-quality credit proposals based on customer information, industry performance, and market feedback.
  3. Customer Engagement: Directly engage with customers to process transactions, collect documents, and settle payments.
  4. Account Review: Regularly review accounts to enhance utilization and ensure maximum account profitability.
  5. Proposal Quality and Turnaround Time: Maintain high-quality proposals and ensure timely turnaround.
  6. Account Conduct Monitoring: Closely monitor account conduct to ensure compliance with bank policies and procedures.
  7. Portfolio Quality Monitoring: Monitor portfolio quality by tracking excess/past dues, risk triggers, covenants, and other credit conditions.
  8. Documentation and Posting: Liaise with EICRAD for completion of documentations, posting of FRS, and feeding limits.
  9. Facility Utilization: Coordinate with IBTFS/IBDIS for utilization of facilities.
  10. Market Trend Analysis: Regularly review market trends to identify profitable opportunities in selected segments.
  11. Financials Collection: Obtain quarterly/annual/interim financials from clients.
  12. Transaction Execution: Execute daily transactions, monitor accounts, and contact customers for payments and settlements.
  13. Workflow Improvement: Suggest ways to improve the workflow of relationship management.
  14. Credit File Maintenance: Properly maintain credit files and ensure audit readiness at all times.
  15. Policies and Procedures: Adhere to applicable policies and procedures to safeguard the bank's interests.
  16. Information Security: Protect sensitive customer and bank information and drive staff behavior to ensure compliance with policies.
  17. Internal Audit and Risk Management: Cooperate and facilitate work of internal audit and risk management to address gaps and respond to audit reports within agreed deadlines.
  18. Money Laundering Activities: Monitor money laundering activities and coordinate remedial actions with management.

Person Specifications

  1. Education: Relevant education with a minimum of a Bachelor's Degree.
  2. Experience: At least 2 years of SME/Corporate Credit Analysis experience.
  3. UAE Experience: UAE experience is required.
  4. Banking Products and Operations: Knowledge of banking products and operations.
  5. Communication Skills: Strong oral and written communication skills.
  6. Analytical Thinking: Analytical thinking is essential.
  7. Business and Customer Orientation: Business and customer-oriented mindset is required.
