  • Develop and monitor processes for the review and timely submission of grant and contract proposals to funding agencies.
  • Identify issues in pre-award workflows and provide recommendations to leadership for resolution.
  • Collaborate with institutional offices to develop and maintain resources and programs to support researchers with grant proposal development.
  • Assist in the review of proposed cost-share commitments, Facilities and Administrative (F&A) waivers, and other requests.
  • Develop and maintain performance metrics for pre-award activities.
  • Track grant and contract proposals and collect and share proposal data with leadership.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on complex applications and sponsor regulations.
  • Provide guidance and technical expertise to Research Administrators and Principal Investigators on pre-award and contractual sponsored project compliance matters.
  • Serve as the pre-award lead and Signature Official for institutional applications, ensuring institutional objectives are clearly communicated and incorporated into the proposal and budget.
  • Collaborate with the Chief Academic Officer's office to manage the process for notification, review, and submission of limited submission grants.
  • Collaborate with the RAPIT Director to prepare templates and resource documents to assist Research Administration teams and Principal Investigators.
  • Serve as a backup in the review of outgoing grant and contract proposals for institutional approval.
  • Review and execute institutional certification and assurances documents.
