Key Responsibilities:
  • Execute buy and sell orders across various asset classes, including FX, Money Markets, Equities, Fixed Income, Structured Products, and Third Party Funds.
  • Provide trading coverage for new geographical regions as needed, supporting our international expansion.
  • Ensure best execution, efficient order management, and minimize operational risks.
  • Monitor and follow up on open transactions, informing Relationship Managers, Investment Advisors, and clients about order execution.
  • Verify order settlement and address any settlement issues.
  • Offer Relationship Managers and clients up-to-date prices and market information.
  • Collaborate with the Investment Strategy and Products teams to issue New Issue Information Sheets.
  • Build books for new issues and manage allocations according to policy and procedure.
  • Maintain strong relationships with the middle office and front office.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with external brokers.
  • Develop and maintain a good relationship with Relationship Managers and Investment Advisers, supporting their efforts to enhance business and providing transparent pricing information.
  • Stay updated on product knowledge and market intelligence.
  • Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory guidelines, implementing mitigation strategies in case of errors.
  • Maintain accurate records of trade activities and provide Management Information System (MIS) reports as requested.
  • Cross-sell and route trades to other FAB departments while following best execution practices.
  • Stay informed about technological developments and explore ways to improve trading systems, supporting project managers in upgrades and new initiatives.
  • Continuously seek ways to improve procedures, ensuring the trading desk operates efficiently and reducing risk.
Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
  • In-depth knowledge of financial markets and tools.
  • Professional certifications, such as CISI or CFA, are advantageous.
