Job Description

Role Summary:

VFS Global is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Sales Executive to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for cultivating and managing business relationships with travel trade fraternity across the GCC, including travel agents, tour operators, OTA's, airlines, corporates, and MICE companies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities to drive growth and revenue for VFS Global.
  • Trade Engagement: Develop and maintain strong relationships with travel trade partners, including training and hand-holding to promote the destination.
  • Marketing Strategies: Plan and execute innovative marketing strategies, joint promotions with trade partners, and solicit participation from private sector partners to increase brand awareness.
  • Operations Management: Coordinate with respective departments at client head office, discuss strategies, budgets, growth charts, and connect with targeted trade and corporate clients on MICE and corporate movements.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Craft and execute monthly/quarterly trade and media newsletters, draft monthly reports for various tourism clients, and manage the upkeep of CRM trade and media database.
  • Project Management: Manage and deliver client-focused B2B and B2C projects, including regional tradeshows, workshops, consumer events, trade fairs/exhibitions/congress.
  • Budget Management: Manage and upkeep of assigned budgets for tourism clients, follow internal RSA process for timely payment to external vendors.
  • Media and Social Media: Support with social media amplification/creative posts content for client's social handles and drafting preliminary media releases for tourism clients based on topic/subject line.
  • Annual Marketing Plan: Assist in curating the annual marketing plan in alignment with Tourism Boards Strategy and markets assigned.
  • Business Analysis: Analyze business needs to identify new tourism business opportunities over and above the present core businesses.

Indicative KRA's/Budgetary and Revenue Responsibilities:

  • Achieve set targets and deliverables for the account.
  • Build and maintain business relations with client Tourism Boards/Ministries (Existing and New).
  • Identifying new business opportunity for growth of business.
  • Monitor competition and identify effective ways to keep VFS Global's service offerings unique in the competitive space.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5-7 years of relevant work experience with focus on travel trade engagement & sales within UAE/GCC markets.
  • Experience in bids/tender responses with basic presentation skills.
  • Pro-active self-starter with ability to operate both individually and as part of a team.
  • Good Business Acumen.
  • Excellent operational management skills.
