Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Steward to join our team. As a Kitchen Steward, you will play a critical role in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and efficiency in our kitchen.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Cleanliness and Sanitation: Provide the highest level of attention to all aspects of cleanliness and sanitation throughout the Kitchen.
  2. Supply Management: Assist with the proper storage and organization of kitchen supplies and equipment.
  3. Area Maintenance: Ensure the cleanliness and sanitation of all kitchen areas, including dishwashing stations and storage areas.
  4. Food Preparation: Assist kitchen staff with basic food preparation tasks as needed.
  5. Equipment Maintenance: Ensure that all dishware, utensils, and cooking equipment are properly washed/cleaned and sanitized.
  6. Waste Management: Dispose of kitchen waste and maintain recycling protocols.
  7. Compliance: Follow and adhere to all HACCAP hygiene, ALLSafe and WHS requirements.

Requirements

  1. Positive Attitude: Great energy and a positive attitude.
  2. Commercial Experience: Commercial dishwashing experience (desirable).
  3. Fast-Paced Environment: Experience in fast-paced kitchen environments.
  4. Time Management: Good time management skills and a willingness to learn.
  5. Team Player: Have a good work ethic and team player with a flexible attitude.
  6. Professional Appearance: Professional, well-groomed appearance, demonstrating pride in presentation.
  7. Flexibility: Flexibility and ability to work a variety of shifts including days, early mornings, late evenings, weekends and public holidays.
