Private Equity Risk Assessment Professional

Our client is a leading and rapidly expanding pension fund with a global investment perspective. They manage a substantial portfolio of investments and are committed to enhancing returns for their beneficiaries while aiming to significantly increase their assets under management in the coming years.
This position requires relocation to a vibrant city. Role Responsibilities
- Assist in the investment decision-making process by developing a strong portfolio risk framework, preparing and delivering risk monitoring and performance reports to the Investment department and Chief Investment Officer for further dissemination to the Investment Committee, along with operational risk reports for the Operations Committee and Board.
- Conduct detailed risk assessments for private market investments, including funds, secondaries, and co-investments.
- Oversee the overall risk exposure of the investment portfolio, ensuring adherence to concentration limits across various dimensions such as investment type, geographical location, counterparty, and industry.
- Collaborate with the Risk & Analytics Expert to generate risk reports for the Investment Committee at both asset and portfolio levels.
- Contribute to the identification, development, and maintenance of investment risk IT systems, ensuring that investment risk data is accurately collected and prepared for analysis.
- Proven experience in investment risk management or investment analysis, particularly in private equity, real estate, or infrastructure sectors.
- Background working with a pension fund, asset management firm, Sovereign Wealth Fund, or similar financial institution is advantageous.
- Thorough understanding of pension fund investment principles and theories, with knowledge of various asset classes; familiarity with private assets is a plus.
- Experience in collaborating and coordinating with investment teams, particularly in sectors such as healthcare and technology, is highly valued.
- Exceptional relationship management capabilities.
- Ability to manage multiple risk types, including credit, market, operational, investment, regulatory, and liquidity risks.
