This position necessitates a complete relocation. Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the investment decision-making process by establishing a strong portfolio risk framework, preparing and delivering risk monitoring and performance reports to the Investment department and Chief Investment Officer for distribution to the Investment Committee, as well as operational risk assessments for the Operations Committee and Board.
- Conduct detailed risk assessments on private market investments, including funds, secondaries, and co-investments.
- Oversee the overall risk exposure of the investment portfolio, ensuring adherence to concentration limits across various dimensions such as investment type, geography, counterparty, and industry.
- Collaborate with the Risk & Analytics Expert to generate risk reports for the Investment Committee at the asset, program, and portfolio levels.
- Contribute to the identification, development, and maintenance of investment risk IT systems, ensuring accurate collection and preparation of investment risk data.
- Proven experience in investment risk management or investment analysis related to private equity, real estate, or infrastructure investments.
- Background in managing investment portfolios for pension funds, asset management firms, Sovereign Wealth Funds, or similar financial institutions is advantageous.
- In-depth understanding of pension fund investment principles and theories, with knowledge of various asset classes; familiarity with private assets is a plus.
- Experience in liaising and coordinating with investment teams, particularly in the healthcare and software sectors, is highly valued.
- Exceptional relationship management capabilities.
- Ability to manage multiple risk types, including credit, market, operational, investment, regulatory, and liquidity risks.
