Administrative Support Specialist

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to join our team at the American University of Sharjah. The successful candidate will provide administrative support to our faculty and staff, ensuring the smooth operation of our office.
Key Responsibilities- Administrative Tasks
- Manage office supplies, maintain a clean and organized workspace, and perform other administrative duties as needed.
- Prepare and distribute meeting materials, take minutes, and follow up on action items.
- Scheduling and Travel Arrangements
- Book appointments, meetings, and travel arrangements for faculty and staff.
- Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
- Communication and Customer Service
- Provide exceptional customer service to students, faculty, and staff, responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Education
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred.
- Skills
- Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
