About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Digital Transformation Strategist to join our team at the American University of Sharjah. As a key member of our IT department, you will play a critical role in driving our digital transformation strategy and ensuring the successful adoption of digital solutions across the university.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Implement Digital Transformation Strategy: Collaborate with executive leadership to formulate and articulate a comprehensive digital transformation strategy aligned with the university's objectives.
  • Identify and Prioritize Digital Initiatives: Identify and prioritize digital initiatives to enhance efficiency, community experience, and overall competitiveness.
  • Evaluate Emerging Technologies and Trends: Evaluate educational and enterprise emerging technologies and trends to assess their potential impact on the university's operations and competitive position.
  • Foster Collaboration and Communication: Foster collaboration among technical and cross-functional teams in administration and academic departments to ensure a unified approach to digital transformation.
  • Lead Digital Tool and Platform Adoption: Lead the identification, selection, and adoption of digital tools and platforms to support university objectives.
  • Develop Transformational Project/Program Plans: Develop comprehensive transformational project/program plans, outlining scope, goals, timelines, resources, and deliverables.
  • Establish and Maintain Stakeholder Relationships: Establish and maintain strong working relationships with stakeholders, informing them of project/program progress, changes, and challenges.
  • Develop and Implement Change Management Strategies: Develop and implement change management strategies to ensure the successful adoption of digital solutions across the university.
  • Foster a Digital-Centric Mindset: Facilitate cultural shifts towards a more digital-centric mindset, fostering innovation and collaboration.
  • Analyze and Optimize Business Processes: Analyze existing university business processes and workflows to identify areas for optimization and automation.
  • Design and Implement Streamlined Digital Processes: Design and implement streamlined digital processes to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Engage with Stakeholders: Engage with stakeholders at all levels to understand their needs and incorporate feedback into digital initiatives.
  • Support and Oversee Digital Initiatives: Support and oversee the execution of digital initiatives and transformation projects, ensuring they are delivered on time.
  • Collaborate with Project Teams: Collaborate with project teams and stakeholders to drive successful implementation and continuous improvement.
