  • Special Projects: Participate in special projects as needed or assigned by management.
  • Facility Maintenance: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Continuous Improvement: Drive a continuous improvement culture throughout the organization, eliminating waste and reducing costs through advanced use of LEAN tools and OEE, FPY, MUI, 5S, TPM/AM, Standard Work, and other methodologies.
  • Supervisory Responsibility: Supervise Shift Superintendents and other supervisory personnel, with overall indirect responsibility for several hundred direct operators and indirect support staff.
  • Work Environment: This job operates in a professional office environment with a heavy and continuous level of work on the manufacturing floor, where exposure to seasonally hot and humid conditions, dust, noise, and other elements will be present.
  • Physical Demands: Sitting/computer work 70%, walking, bending, and climbing 20%, fine manipulation skills 10%.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree: Bachelor's degree in engineering, management, or a related field preferred or equivalent years of experience.
  • Heavy Manufacturing Background: Strong heavy manufacturing background, preferably in the automotive industry.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, including writing, speaking, listening, and observing.
  • Goal-Oriented: Ability to understand goals and objectives and convert them into action plans, tasks, initiatives, and activities that ensure success.
  • Initiative and Teamwork: Ability to take initiative, maintain confidentiality, meet deadlines, and work in a team environment.
  • Supervisory Experience: Strong demonstrated supervisory experience with a track record of cultural change and building front-line supervisory teams.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills, ability to gather, interpret, and analyze information, provide clear and concise reports.
  • PC-Based Computing: PC-based computing experience, including word processing (Word), spreadsheet (Excel), and presentation (PowerPoint) software.
