E-Commerce Manager

The role involves positioning the brand website as the primary electronic distribution channel, enhancing the hotel's digital presence, and optimizing its online reputation.

Key Responsibilities:

Website Management:

  • Ensure website content is up-to-date, accurate, and consistent across all languages and the corporate website.
  • Monitor and maintain rate parity across all electronic distribution channels.
  • Liaise with the corporate office to deploy website enhancements and functionality upgrades.
  • Review and maintain rate and room type descriptions in the online booking system.
  • Support content delivery from various departments to ensure optimal website performance.
  • Create and implement promotional content for special offers and packages.
  • Publish Local Experiences on gha.com.

Search Engine Optimization (SEO):

  • Review the hotel's search engine ranking and optimize the website with relevant search terms and keywords.
  • Update and optimize meta descriptions and tags.
  • Analyze the budget investment versus ROI for corporate SEO activities.

eMail Marketing:

  • Prepare and send regular corporate email newsletters to subscribers.
  • Ensure emails align with the strategy and corporate guidelines.
  • Analyze email productivity and profile segmentation.
  • Assist in optimizing up-sell messaging during the guest reservation cycle.

Social Media:

  • Update and manage the hotel's social media channels according to corporate policies.
  • Maintain consistent representation of the brand on social media.

Digital Marketing:

  • Develop and implement e-marketing initiatives to increase qualified visitors to the hotel website.
  • Monitor and report brand name hijacking that dilutes direct web revenues.
  • Establish and implement the hotel's annual advertising plan for all digital channels.
  • Assist with creative and media planning for PPC and display campaigns.
  • Ensure brand and marketing messages are consistent across all electronic channels.
  • Review and monitor the hotel's primary competition set online to maintain competitiveness.

Photo Optimization:

  • Ensure picture quality meets corporate identity guidelines across all brand and third-party websites and social media.
  • Identify signature shots representing the hotel and the brand.
  • Analyze website user behavior, site performance, and referrals.
  • Provide monthly reports on website KPIs to the management team and corporate offices.

Training/Education:

  • Participate in mandatory corporate web-related trainings and brief department heads as necessary.
  • Participate in the monthly Revenue & E-Commerce corporate calls.
