Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the commercial diligence of startup investments, conducting thorough research and analysis to inform investment decisions.
  • Engage with key stakeholders, including investors, startup founders, and FIS teams, to capture insights and feedback.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with startup companies, providing guidance and support to help them grow and succeed.
  • Collaborate with our Strategy and Partnership teams to identify and pursue new investment opportunities.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to startup companies, providing strategic guidance and connecting them with relevant resources and partners.
  • Manage all investment-related activities, including due diligence, contract review, and portfolio company management.

Requirements

  • 7-10 years of post-undergraduate experience, including working in or with medium/large corporations.
  • Familiarity with early-stage strategic investment activities, including risk assessment, captable analysis, and pipeline coverage analysis.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to translate complex information into executive-ready insights.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple deals simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in venture capital, corporate development, and/or corporate venture capital.
  • Excellent writing, grammar, and editing skills.
  • Previous sales experience, contract experience, or investment experience.
  • Excellent PowerPoint and Excel skills.
